About Rhino

  • Status: Available for Adoption (adoption info)
  • Species: Dog
  • Rescue ID: D260005
  • Color: fawn
  • Current Age: 2 Years (best estimate)
Rhino is a handsome 2-year-old Cane Corso with soulful eyes and a quiet, thoughtful
presence. He can be shy when first meeting new people, but once he feels comfortable, his
gentle and affectionate personality begins to shine. He forms meaningful bonds with those
who earn his trust and has a soft spot for the ladies.
Rhino is crate trained when left alone and does very well overnight outside of the crate. He
has experience being around dogs of many sizes and personalities and generally does well,
especially with appropriate introductions and clear expectations.
He has a solid foundation of training and shows good potential for continued growth. Rhino’s
foster mom is actively working with him to build confidence, reinforce structure, and support
positive behaviors as he prepares for his forever home.
Transition & Training Support
To ensure Rhino’s success during adoption, there will be a 4–6 week training and transition
period with his foster mom as he moves into his new home. This period is intended to
provide continuity, consistency, and guidance during a major life change. The goal is a
smooth transition that supports Rhino emotionally and behaviorally while setting clear
expectations for long-term success.
Adopters should be prepared to participate in this transition process and maintain the routines
and training strategies that have already been established.
Ideal Home & Adopter Expectations
Rhino will thrive in a home that understands large-breed dogs and values structure, patience,
and ongoing training.
His ideal home will include patient and consistent adopters who allow him time to adjust and
build trust; a willingness to actively participate in the 4–6 week transition and training period;
clear structure, routine, and boundaries; experience with large or guardian-type breeds (or a
strong commitment to learning); proper dog introductions and ongoing social guidance; an

an understanding that training is an ongoing process, not a one-time solution.
A calm, supportive environment with clear communication will allow Rhino to grow into the
confident, loyal companion he is capable of becoming.
Summary
Rhino is a gentle giant with a soft heart who is looking for an adopter ready to invest in him,
guide him, and appreciate his steady, meaningful bond. With patience, consistency, and
continued support, Rhino will make an incredible lifelong companion
