A local area restaurant was having an oyster special and left a pile of empty shells next to the dumpster. In the morning they found Chowder rumaging through the pile of shells looking for something to eat and contacted us. Fortunately we had some space in foster care to take her in. She apparently has encountered some cruel people in the past--we've found that at some point she's been shot at by either a BB or a pellet gun. She has a small BB or pellet lodged subdermally, but it isn't causing her any continuing pain. Despite this treatment she still is a very friendly and sweet kitty who deserves a loving forever home. Come meet her at our adoption days on Saturdays at the Well Pet Clinic in Lexington Park from 11 Am to 3 PM.
