Burton was found as a stray running at large.  He was found by one person and she took him to the local veterinarian to check for a microchip because he had no tags but there was no microchip.  She was going to keep him and look for an owner but apparently he got away from her.  He was found by someone else and he got away from them and then came to the finder that brought him to us.  The fact that Burton was not neutered was most likely the cause of his multiple attempts, and sucesses, at escaping. We advertised him as found at the local shelter and animal control and no one was looking for him :(  Burton is a super happy guy that is very energetic.  He is doing well with his crate training but because he was recently neutered you need to watch him for marking.  He seems to like other dogs but does like to bark at cats.
